  Release Notes: August 27, 2003

Version: ConferenceRoom/2.1

Thank you for downloading ConferenceRoom 2.1.

This installation will not work with 1.x or PRE2 versions of ConferenceRoom.
You must have a 2.1 license to use it. We strongly recommend you install
ConferenceRoom 2.1 into a clean directory or on top of a previous 2.x
installation.

Although there are no known security problems in CR2.1 and it has been
carefully designed to be as secure as possible, we do not recommend that you
run CR2.1 under the root account.

ConferenceRoom does not require any root privileges; however, it cannot
listen on ports less than 1,024 without root privileges. ConferenceRoom will
drop privileges after opening ports if it is made set-uid. We recommend port
8000 for the web server and a port string of '7000,6666-6669' for the IRC
server.
